- Warranty will only apply if the chairmats are used in the correct application/environment that this type of product is intended.
Applications include:
1. Make sure that you have the correct chairmat for your floor type.  This is especially important for carpet chairmats as the correct carpet chairmat must be chosen for your carpet type/thickness for warranty to apply.
2. Make sure that the chairmats are only used as a floor protection product.
3. Make sure that you follow the manufacturer's/distributors guidelines below.

- Warranty will be void if metal castors are used.
- Warranty will be void if the chairmat is not used on the correct floor type.  For example, if you have not measured your carpet thickness and puchase an incorrect chairmat for that type of carpet thickness and the chairmat cracks, warranty will be void.  You must perform the PIN TEST before purchasing any carpet chairmat.  Click here for the PIN TEST procedure and other information relating to How to Choose a Carpet Chairmat.
- Warranty will be void if the mat is used in an application that is not meant for this type of floor protection product.
- Warranty will also be void if the mat is custom cut/modified.
- Warranty will be void if the chairmat and surrounding floor area is not looked after correctly.

Important!
- Do not use chairmats in damp or wet areas or if condensation or extreme temperature variations occur.  The manufacturer/distributor will not take responsibility for any damage that occurs to the chairmats, floor area, propety or person if the chairmats are used in these situations.
- Do not use chemicals to clean any chairmat as they can build up and cause slippage. Use water and chemical free cloth and make sure that the mat is thoroughly dry (top and underneath) before using.  The manufacturer/distributor will not take any responsibility for damage caused due to not following these instructions.
- If liquid gets underneath the mat, pull up the mat and thoroughly dry the area (underneath the mat before putting the mat back down. Chairmats will not cause mold but if the floor underneath the mat is not completely dry, mold can occur. This will also occur if the room in which the mat is used is exposed to dampness or condensation. Chairmats should not be used in this type of environment.  The manufacturer/distributor will not take responsibility for damaged caused in this situation.
- It is also recommended that you clean the floor underneath the mat regularly in case things get underneath the mat that you are not aware of and can cause damage to the mat or floor.  This can be dirt, dust, liquid or other foreign particles.  Make sure that the mat and floor area are completely dry before placing the mat back down and reusing.  The manufacturer/distributor will not take any responsibility for damage caused in this situation.
- Chairmats will not discolour the floor but the floor underneath a mat will not wear at the same rate as the floor around the mat so a colour variation will occur.  This is because the area underneath the mat will not be exposed to air, dirt etc at the same rate as the surrounding floor.  Cleaning under the chairmat regularly will mean the discolouration may be less.
- If the mat slips on the floor (which can occur on very highly polished floors) use caution or discontinue use.  The manufacturer/distributor will not take any responsibility for slippage/accidents as discretion must be used when using any product that is walked on, rolled on etc.....
- Only use carpet chairmats (have grippers) on carpets - making sure that you have chosen the correct thickness carpet chairmat for your type of carpet.
- Only use hard floor chairmats on hard floors.
- In all cases, discontinue use if slippage occurs or use extreme user caution.
- Manufacturer/distributor cannot take responsibility for accidents that occur unless the actual chairmat is faulty.
- Never use a gripper/carpetchairmat on hard floors as they will cause damage.
- Never use hard floor chairmats on carpets as they may slip.

All of the above points refer to the Jastek Chaimats - flat and folding and the Floortex Polycarbonate Chairmats.

- For the Floortex Printed Polycarbonate chairmats: we recommend that you first wipe the back of the mat with clear water and dry it thoroughly with a cotton cloth. This will remove any fluff or residue caused by the packaging or shipping. It is also very important that the mat be set on a dry and clean floor and that once in a while it is taken up from the floor to let the floor breath/clean the underside of the mat to renew adhesion.  Make sure the floor is clean and thoroughly dry before putting the mat back in place and using.
- Printed chairmats must only be used on hard floors and use discretion if slippage occurs.

- It is only recommended that Jastek PVC Chairmats and Euromats be used under chairs with castors.
- Floortex polycarbonate chairmats (clear & printed) can be used in alternate applications such as underneath a baby's high chair to catch food spills, front reception mats infront of a desk, under heavy items to protect the floor etc......
- When chairmats are used in alternate applications, extreme caution must be used to prevent accidents.  The manufacturer/distributor cannot take responsibility for accidents that occur unless the actual chairmat is faulty.
- As the mat sits higher on the floor, tripping can occur.  Do not put chairmats in high traffic areas as slippage can occur from mud, water, dirt and dust from people's shoes, cleaning equipment etc..... which can cause accidents.
- Extreme caution/discretion should be used at all times and the purchaser of the chairmat from the distributor will be held responsible to accidents/damage caused in this application.

Storage:
- All chairmats should be stored flat.
- Never store a chairmat in an upright position.  This is particularly important for PVC chairmats.  If PVC chairmats are stored upright, it will bend and in some cases remain bent.
- If a chairmat is stored upright and it does bend, lie flat immediately in an area where people cannot trip on the chairmat.  Lay the chairmat flat for up to 48 hours.  In most cases the bend will flatten out but this will depend on how long the chairmat has been stored upright.
- The place where you purchased the chairmat should be storing them flat.  If you buy a chairmat that is bent, the warranty will be void by the manufacturer/distributor but the place of purchase will need to honour the warranty.
- If you as a consumer store the chairmat in an upright position, then the warranty will be void by all parties.
AN UPRIGHT POSITION INCLUDES ANY POSITION THAT IS NOT FULLY FLAT.

Disclaimer:
- All chairmat products are intended for use on floors to protect floors. However, discretion must be used at all times as there are many floor types and not all can be tested with chairmats.
- If you are unclear if a mat should be used in a certain application or on a certain floor type, please contact purchaser/supplier/distributor for further information.
- Do not use a chairmat until you are sure it is appropriate for your floor/application. Not every situation has a guarantee that the mat will be appropriate.   User discretion is required.

- The manufacturer/distributor will not take responsibility for damage caused to chairmats, flooring, property or people if not used in the correct application.  This includes if the above guidelines are not followed and if foreign objects are introduced under chairmats/environment near the chairmat.  The manufacturer/distributor will asses each situation when all facts are brought to their attention.
- Warranty claims will honoured for manufacturing faults in the chairmats or if the mats crack in correct applications.
- The manufacturer/distributor will not take responsibility for chairmats that are bent due to incorrect storage.  Chairmats should be stored in a flat position at all times.  An exception would be during transportation if that is less than 12-24 hours.
