Da Vinci Dry Brushes

Dry brushes are specialised brushes used for dry brushing, a technique where artists apply minimal paint to a dry brush, then lightly stroke it over the surface to create soft, textured effects.
Dry brushing is often used to add highlights, depth, or texture to a painting without saturating the surface with color.
Made from white synthetic fibres, with short black mat lacquered wood handles. These brushes are commonly used in various mediums, such as acrylic, oil, or gouache, and are popular for creating:
- Soft transitions between colours or tones
- Textural effects in landscapes or portraits
- Highlighting details without heavy layering
- Aging effects in models or miniatures (e.g., weathering on models)
- Mimic rust, dirt, and to create weathering effects
- Miniature painting
